What metals do you use to make the jewelry?

The charms and pendants are made from aluminum, copper, pewter, or sterling silver. The necklace chains are made of stainless steel or sterling silver. The bracelet bangles are made of stainless steel, and the bracelet chains are made of silver toned metal (nickel free). Each item lists the materials used in the description box.

How do I place a custom order? What is the price?

To place a custom order, please send an email to The price will depend on the materials used and the design, but will be comparable to similar items crafted of the same materials.

Will my item look exactly like the photo on the website?

The beauty of handmade items is that each piece is 100% unique. Each and every letter is individually hand-stamped, creating a crafted piece that is just for you. As a result, letter layout and designs may vary slightly from piece to piece.

Can you stamp both sides of a charm?

Unfortunately, I cannot stamp on both sides of a charm. Since the jewelry is hand stamped, there will be a marking on the opposite side of the metal.

Will my jewelry tarnish? What are the care instructions?

Copper and sterling silver do tarnish, so please keep this in mind when purchasing and caring for your item. Aluminum and stainless steel are not known to tarnish. As with all jewelry, these pieces are delicate and care is to be given when wearing them, putting them on or removing them. Always remove any jewelry before it may come in contact with water.

How do you make metal stamped jewelry?

When I sit down to work at my dining room table, these are the tools in front of me: a steel bench block, one pound brass head hammer, individual letter stamps, and a variety of design stamps. First I choose a metal blank, made of softer metals like aluminum, copper, or pewter. Next I position the metal blank on the steel block, usually taped down to hold it steady. I always plan the layout in advance, such as spacing for a word or phrase. Then I place each letter stamp in turn and whack it with the hammer to make an impression. My husband has told me it sounds like I'm making toys or cobbling shoes! This is not a quiet and meditative art form. There is no "machine" used to make metal stamped jewelry. The machine is me! Each piece is handcrafted which means no matter how hard I line things up, the letters are never "exactly" perfect. However, I have been told this is part of the charm. Stay tuned for an upcoming video about this topic!

How long is the standard necklace chain length?

All necklaces come standard with an 18" chain, although 16" and 20" chains are also available upon request. Here is a photo I took of my niece modeling a necklace with an 18" chain.
